This Monday we were invited to speak at Belfast City Council’s new City as a Gallery initiative launch at City Hall. As well as providing an introduction to what we do as a collective, Alissa and Ciara discussed what we believed the role of the artist to be (this was the focus of the panel discussion) and presented some best practice case studies from organisations such as Checkpoint Helsinki, Creative Time and Artangel – who we worked with in September as part of our Out in the Open project – and Situations, who we met with during our research and development phase earlier this year.
